RS33548 / H0869 This appropriation to the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired provides enhancements to the FY 2027 maintenance budget that includes additional appropriation for client services and partial rescission restoration by shifting appropriation to dedicated funds.

This appropriation provides an additional $127,700 to the maintenance appropriation. Table 1 shows incremental adjustments to the budget found in the bill, of which the ongoing increase is $62,700 and the onetime increase is $65,000. AN ACT	1
RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATION TO THE COMMISSION FOR THE BLIND AND VISU-	2
ALLY IMPAIRED; APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE COMMISSION FOR	3
THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027; PROVIDING RE-	4
QUIREMENTS ON SERVICE PRIORITIZATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND	5
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.	6
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:	7
SECTION 1. In addition to any other appropriation provided by law,	8
there is hereby appropriated to the Idaho Commission for the Blind and	9
Visually Impaired the following amounts to be expended according to the des-	10
ignated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2026,	11
through June 30, 2027:	12

SECTION 2. SERVICE PRIORITIZATION. It is hereby the intent of the Leg-	23
islature that the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired prioritize	24
funding provided in Section 1 of this act to provide sight restoration ser-	25
vices to preserve, stabilize, and restore vision for eligible individuals.	26
SECTION 3. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby	27
declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after	28
July 1, 2026.	29
