This legislation would create the School Mobile Device Policy Fund. Because many districts have already adopted mobile device restrictions - in part by utilizing monies made available under the Governor’s Executive Order 2024-11, a.k.a., Phone Free Learning Act - the one time cost to the general fund is expected to be under $285,000.
