Idaho Bills

Amends existing law to provide that the board of trustees of a hospital district may appoint certain board members; and to revise provisions regarding a board quorum and vacancies.

This bill allows the board of trustees of a hospital district to unanimously appoint up to two additional members to serve as trustees for the purpose of adding necessary and specialized skills to assist board deliberations and decision making. Appointed board members will not be entitled to vote on any decision to levy a tax and may be removed with or without cause by a majority vote of the elected members.
