Amends and adds to existing law to define and provide for proper operation of e-bikes in Idaho.
The purpose of this bill is to define the meaning of low-power, pedal-assist electric bikes (e-bikes) and to revise the definition in Idaho code. It allows cities, counties, or the governing body of a public agency to have jurisdiction over speed on a path or trail and may prohibit by ordinance the operation of an e-bike on that path or trail.
