Amends existing law to revise deadlines for the transmission of certain court fees to the state treasurer.

County clerks are required to collect court fees and send them to the State each month. For most fees, the date by which clerks must send payments was recently changed from the 5th day of each month to the 15th day each month. For consistency, this bill would shift the dates for eight remaining fees from the 5th day of each month to the 15th day each month.

Amends existing law to revise a provision regarding the payment of a fee to change court venue.

When a court case is moved from one venue to another, county clerks must collect a change of venue filing fee. This bill would allow the fee to be paid to and retained by the original court, so that it can be paid at the same time the motion for change of venue is filed.
