States findings of the Legislature and recognizes all the Idaho athletes who participated in the Olympics.

LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO Sixty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2026 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 35 BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION1 STATING FINDINGS OF THE LEGISLATURE AND RECOGNIZING ALL OF THE IDAHO ATH-2 LETES WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE 2026 WINTER OLYMPICS.3 Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:4 WHEREAS, sports have always been recognized as a unifying event; and5 WHEREAS, every four years the world gathers to watch the Olympics; and6 WHEREAS, the 2026 Winter Olympics took place in Milan and Cortina d'Am-7 pezzo, Italy; and8 WHEREAS, it is an amazing feat for any athlete to make the USA Olympic9 team; and10 WHEREAS, it is an honor and privilege to represent the United States of11 America; and12 WHEREAS, we as Idahoans are proud of our Olympic athletes and appreciate13 their sacrifices; and14 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to acknowledge the Olympic athletes15 from Idaho: John Steel Hagenbuch, Breezy Johnson, Chase Josey, Jaelin Kauf,16 Hilary Knight, Ryder Sarchett, and Sammy Smith; and17 WHEREAS, it should also be noted that Idaho had three athletes who won18 medals; and19 WHEREAS, Breezy Johnson received a gold medal in alpine skiing; and20 WHEREAS, Jaelin Kauf received two silver medals in ski moguls; and21 WHEREAS, Hilary Knight received a gold medal as a key member of the ice22 hockey team; and23 WHEREAS, Brad Little, the Governor of the State of Idaho, has recognized24 and congratulated these Idaho athletes.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the Second Regular26 Session of the Sixty-eighth Idaho Legislature, the House of Representatives27 and the Senate concurring therein, that the Legislature recognizes the ath-28 letic achievements of all Idaho athletes who participated in the 2026 Winter29 Olympics.30
