At current staffing levels, it is estimated that this change will save the state $8,800 a year in dedicated fund background check expenses. At estimated staffing levels upon final implementation of ITS modernization, the savings will increase to $12,200 per year. There is no known current or future fiscal impact to any federal, or local funds, nor is there any known cost to the public.
