Many of the vehicles that this legislation will now authorize as emergency vehicles are already equipped with emergency lights and sirens. They are already equipped with this equipment for the purpose of scene safety after arriving at the fire. If an agency needs to add emergency lights and sirens to a vehicle it is about $2,500.00 per vehicle.
