Relates to the appropriation to the Department of Health and Welfare for the Division of Medicaid for fiscal years 2023 and 2024.

This is a trailer appropriation to address the fiscal impact of S1097 of 2023. S1097 creates the Medicaid Management Information Systems Dedicated Fund, which will hold the state match for the procurement of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). An additional amount is provided in FY 2023, to address costs to create the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the four modules in the base system of the MMIS. An additional onetime amount is provided in FY 2024, to enable the Division of Purchasing in the Department of Administration to sign contracts for the base modules. In addition, there are three sections of legislative language directing reporting on the progress of the MMIS procurement and implementation.
