Amends existing law to provide that operations electing to utilize certain nutrient management planners are consenting to allow such plans to be housed with the Idaho State Department of Agriculture and to provide that certain information shall be exempt from disclosure.
BEEF CATTLE -- Amends existing law to provide that operations electing to utilize certain nutrient management planners are consenting to allow such plans to be housed with the Idaho State Department of Agriculture and to provide that certain information shall be exempt from disclosure.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
All beef cattle feeding operations are required to submit a "Nutrient Management Plan" to the Idaho State Department of Agriculture for approval. There are many avenues to create a plan, one being a web-based planner housed at ISDA. This bill provides the ability to use the ISDA planner while protecting proprietary information.
